The Teutonic order was Russian!

At least CA seems to think so. Why do my Teutons speak with the Russian accent? Why not the German one? I'd rather havet them saying "Ja mein Kaiser" instead of "Da". Seriously wtf?
I cba to change this now since I've played like 20 turns (I didn't notice it sooner since I usualy play with music in the background).
Anyway this is idiotic and is bugging the **** outa' me. It's the reason I never played Danes in regular Medieveval 2 either. Danish ships going "Da" just sounds stupid and ruins the atmosphere.

Oh and where are all those small ships and caravans that are supposed to be on the world map, for some reason I can't see any. It makes the world map look dead and deserted .

hardly. If you play the HRE they are all "for ze Kaiser!!!" - " JA MEIN KAISER" etc. you get the hang of it.
It's just stupid, it bothers me more and more if I think about it. Luckilly the hard phase of the campaign is over now, I'm kicking some heavy ass and it will be over in no time now. I'm leading in all exept finance and even that is very high (I own the hanseatic league).

how do you know if you control the Hanseatic League or not? Is it a building (like a Guild for the other specialites in the game? (thieves, theologians, merchant, etc)).

Personally I'm sort of glad... I hate hearing "MEIN KAISER!!!" Over... and over... and over...

It's the only downside I have to playing the HRE. I beat the pre-Kingdoms game as the HRE once but still the voice set haunts me.

Its because CA was too lazy/busy to actually call in the German accent voice-actor to do some new lines for the Teutonic Order, since obviously the original HRE one would be a bit too.. Kaiser-ish.

Like I said, I'd rather have them saying ja mein Kaiser than da. Historicaly they were very loyal to the HRE so it would be more accurate than "da".
It's even more annoying than when the Danes do it.

The Teutonic order is probably an East European faction. Changing the culture would fix that, at the cost of other distortions that would crop up.
