Hrimfars mod idea
I've long been thinking about a mod that consolidates the unit list from MTW2 into a compact, yet more balanced game experience. I have listed below my ideas for basic units which has the same stats for all factions involved, the two factions not presented here are the Aztec and Byzantine empires for which I don't really know what sort of list they should be using.
This is the basic units of three general areas of the campaignmap. The western european factions are every faction from scotland to spain to the HRE and Venice. The eastern european factions are Poland, Hungaria and Russia. Thiese units are as previously stated the basic units of thiese factions - every faction will also have some unique units; janissaries for the Turks and so on.
The list is divided into three different eras; each of whom will be presented as an event which will lead to new bulding being availiable. When the new buldings are built the recruitment lists for the cities/castles will be upgraded and the old units no longer recruitable. The mod will span from the 12 century to the end of the 15th century (about 1490).
EDIT: I would like to get feedback on the unit list here presented. I also would like some ideas of which faction-special units to keep
