Apache Thunder Braves and Onde man

I am just playing and amazing Apache game. But I have a question. I know that there is a bug and armour is not working but did anybody get Onde man and Apache mounted thunder braves in the game (without modding)? I unlocked Koitsenko, Scouts, Horse braves and Thunder braves without any problems but I am not sure will Onde and Mounted thunder braves come. :hmmm:

Unlocking in the apache campaign is very buggy, with problems being experienced by many players (but not all).

In my own completed campaign, I was able to unlock everything except Onde's men and Koitsenkos only arrived just before the end, despite me being massively over all the stated requirements (within the game or on these boards).

So you had Mounted thunder braves (crazy indians with horses and rifles)?

Yes, I got the mounted thunder braqves quite quickly and they were quite key to my success in the campaign. You may have not faced off against enough Europeans yet. Did you wipe the French out too quickly to get enough victories against them?

Hmm :hmmm:. I just destroyed the French after 9-10 battles. Plus I fought 1 with the Spanish. Got tunder braves after 1 fight and mounted braves after 2 more fights. Sinse then 5-6 battle and no progress. Well I will go hunt down the Spanish bastards.

i thought it only took one victory over the cav. or gun army to get that kinda stuff unlocked.

I play the Apache faction quite often. It's my fav faction in the Kingdoms collection.

I usually don't get Onde's men to unlock. And if I do, it's so late in the game that they're nearly useless due to not having time to build the structure and form up an army with them in it before game ends.

There's a patch in the Kindgoms Mod section of the forum that fixes the armor upgrade and other issues. The same player also made a patch that unlocks the archer and melee lines of buildings from start, but not the horse and gunpowder lines. You still have to earn those.

I have played the fix patch and like it. I have not tried the unlock patch though so can't say anything on it.

You can win without the upper tier of archer and melee but those are usually very bloody and often *pyrrhic victories.

I did not intend insult to you or anyone else. Many who read these forums are younger folk not well versed in history, and some are not adept at the english language. Not everything in a post is always meant specifically for the OP.

Was just trying to save some folk the time and effort to look it up, since I had already done so to make sure I spelled it proper lol.

How do you get horses anyway? I'm almost done with my apache campaign but I've still got no horses or guns.

You have to kill horse units to get horses unlocked. Same for gun units.

I've often had to wipe out several of each type to get my fist set of unlocks.
