Default Help with the campaign mode please...

    Hi guys

I received a message in my campaign saying that I was popular enough should I attack Rome... so I decided to move my armies into Italy and assault Rome. This process though, took about 20 turns in total.

Now when I try and attack Rome it says I don't have enough support...

So now I'm annoyed! It will take forever to get my armies back into war again... so how can I quickly gain support again? Even if I have to cheat? (my popularity with the people is 3 stars from the top)

My popularity with the people is 7 by the way, and yes I have had the 'chance for power' message.

    Would appreciate any help

Conquering Rome will require a lot of conquest, more victories than defeats and basically a very good relation with the people.
It is wise to "steal" territories from other factions in the beginning (roman factions). Make several strong cities in Italy so that you may build up an army and reinforcements asap.
I have never had the message, since I don't play that far into the campaign. So I can't really say anything beyond this.

You were right! I lowered all the taxes in every city to 'low' and I got the message again the following turn..

    Thanks mate

You're welcome, though I didn't know that lowering taxes could also improve relations. It does make sense though, ya would be happier with someone who doesn't overcharge you on taxes.
