An amazing underrated prog/metal band with one of teh best singers ever, Geoff Tate.

I recommend anyone who likes Iron Maidenesque metal to listen to them, and even if you don't like metal give their non-metal songs a listen, especially 'Anybody Listening?', one of the best songs ever in my opinion. They're a bit like Pink Floyd.

I just bought tickets to see them live, so I've been pretty obsessed with them lately.

Silent Lucidy is one of the greatest songs ever made.

Definately a great band during their first few albums. Not so good afterwards.

They fell apart after their 4th album, 'Empire' IMO, though 'Hear In The Now Frontier' wasn't bad. They're still great live though

Operation Mindcrime is one of the best concept albums ever and just a great one in general but after that all downhill to hit rock bottom with trying to capture lightning twice with the horrible OP Mindcrime 2. Mindcrime got the point across without hitting you over the head with a political message while MC 2 reeked of a sledgehammer blow to the head. Though the ending to "story" was atleast decent.
