    Default Forlorn Hope

    Playing the HRE in a Teutonic Campaign - and not able to find out how to build them forlorn hopers.
    Much olidged to anybody that can help me out.

    in the M2TW campaign you could recruit them at the highest level of mayor palace or something like that. just check the building browser

    I have looked up the smythies and barracks - but not the gvt. buildings - will do that when I am back at home.

    They could be recruited from the Mayors Palace.

    I'm pretty sure you get it form 2nd highest or highest gov. building.

    Thx to ya all - and yes its the highest tier of gvt. buildings. Whyever that is the case eludes me :hmmm: ( I'd understand an elite defensive force - the mayors bodyguard or so - but this .. )

    forlorn hope are ex convict who get a chance to redeem freedom by fighting for it(check their description). Since you'll probably need a high degree of organization to pull something like this of, perhaps like the gladiator units in RTW, you only get them at the high level tier gov buildings.

    I thought you got gladiators from the arena buildings in Rome.

    Well historically seen the verlorener Haufen ( which should translate as forlorn stack ) where mercenaries that where paid 4x the usual amount and not convicts ( I mean who would put weapons in convicts hands and let 'em run loose ).

    u did get gladiators in the arenas, but they had to be atleast 2nd tier.
