Wars of the Three Kingdoms mod for Campaign Britania
Series of civil wars in Kingdoms of Ireland, England and Scotland during the second half of the 17th century. More information will be provided as people show interest.
What to expect? Late era warfare, tight files of pikes and muskets side by side, with artillery shots wizzing from above, and a shaky ground from hundreds of horses vanishing into the thick layers of smoke.
I havent got anything to show at the moment but some minor code editing, and if anyone is interested please let me know. thank you for your time.

Re: Wars of the Three Kingdoms mod for Campaign Britania
I would be very interested, here is my proposal from the old Org thread.
Britannia is the obvious base to start the campaign around, and you have most of the units at this point, but ideally it would be better if there was some kind of major "generic" 17th-Century mod, and you could re-skin their units for the vast majority of yours. Unfortunately there isn't one (I've never understood why so many people prefer the 18th to the 17th myself) so you might have to do it yourself or just use the 16th-Century vanilla versions of pikemen/musketeers etc. as placeholders.
Anyway, it's an idea which deserves to be tried, lots of scope for conflict, a small number of factions that can be done in detail, you can do a lot with things like religion if you want as it was hugely important, etc.

EDIT: Here's another old thread about it.

Re: Wars of the Three Kingdoms mod for Campaign Britania
considering this is my first mtw2 modding attempt, i will go with britania for a start, and as i progress, may aswell expend it into the grand campaign (thirty years war, northen war etc.).
while religion may be important in a bigger picture, i hardly see any use to it on the battlefield, or on the campaign. i would rather have the player be an army general than an over all leader. having said that, i would also like to have stationary settlements (like britania forts), which the player can occupy: build defences if needed, loot (to compensate war expences), and retrain units (filling the ranks, no unit building in this mod). keeping in-mind that some settlements are to remain neutral, and rebel at an attempt of occupation. shifting the play from settlement/area based, to characters/reputation based. you win by defeating the faction's army and gainning support of its people, achived by: killing/capturing its generals, and preventing from raising new ones by occupying their settlements (those with greater support for the enemy).
