I need someones Preferences.txt file for a Rome Total War v1.5 vanillia that is able to play ANY faction on it, because I can't find exactly what I need to change.

Rep if you get me the file, thanks an advance.

its not in the pereference .txt, you can find it in the data folder.
go into data then click on the folder called world and then the folder called campaign, then the folder called imperial_campaign. Finally, click on the wordpad file called descr_strat. at the top of the file, there are the titles
playable
[list of factions]
unlockable
[list]
non-playable

just move an faction into the playable list to play it.
(cut the faction name and paste, make sure to cut the empty space behind the names too)

before you do this, make a backup of the file, incase you mess up

Just make sure to back up any files you edit.

if its 1.5 you might need some extra stuff, if its still giving you trouble, its because you need a faction map.
get down to Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign, make a copy of Map_gaul and change its name to, for example, map_macedon. Repeat for all unplayable factions. Don't play senate or rebels they're C-D-Tastic

Thanks for the repplies guys, but I already had help, and the Senate is ok to play as as long as you don't click the senate tab.

Its fun playing as the senate, you can fight all 3 other roman factions at once, and then you get the fun of fighting carthage, greece, and gaul all at once!
