    Default Bucket o' Random Stuff

First off I think the EU3 wiki needs to be stickied or something.

    http://www.paradoxian.org/eu3wiki/Main_Page

Second off I have several questions for the forum that I cannot seem to find in the wiki or in the manual.

1.) Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of events in EU3? I have been looking on the wiki and just googling it but I cannot seem to find anything. I mean something that lists and has descriptions of all the events. Stuff like the Black sea Trading thing.

2.) How would I go about getting that sweet warscore break down with all the troop numbers and list of combatants with their war waging ability that I saw on the paradox forum. It is right near the bottom of the page.

    http://www.europa-universalis.com/fo...3&page=2&pp=20

That is the link to the cool warscore thing. I would ask them but I do not really want to start an account.

I guess that is it for the Bucket for now.

That would take quite some time. There is really just too many. If you ask about specific events, you can probably get someone to come up with an answer, but I've heard of no full list, and I can't imagine someone taking the time. (I mean, it wouldn't take all that long if your familiar with the coding from modding work... but it would take a good chunk of time and be very boring)

If you have the expansion, NA, then you will find one for each war you are in and can click on it by clicking on the shield on the bottom right of the lead nation you are at war with. For example, in the post you refer to, if you look at the first screenshot, you can see a shield with Castille's flag in the bottom right near your various map mode buttons. Very handy.

I also have 1 random question(didn't think it was worth making a thread)...

Can someone explain to me why my army is getting slaughtered?
I'm in late 17th century playing as Russia, and are at war with Ottoman Empire.
My land technology is about 6 points higher than them, and I have musketeers while they are still using Janissary infantry.
BUT, even when I have equal number of troops I keep getting slaughtered by them.
Even when I outnumber them 2 to 1 I always lose couple thousand men before winning.
    Why is this happening?
    They don't even have guns!

May be they have higher shocking value + terrain advantage + great general.

I believe Musketeers only good in fire value. Qulity/Quntity also affect the result.

Edit: Out of topic, but that reminds me the movie "The Last of Mohican" when British were slaughtered by Native in melee combat, even the number is even match. So gun is not really the problem.

Of course that was a movie and an American one at that and was when they were ambushed at close combat. Two armies in the field is a little different

It is not the problem of the movie, I just want to point out that muskets were not accurate and quite useless in melee combat.

Well that's quite right of course but you were answering a post regarding a large battle between the Russian and Turks and your example included reference to a small scale ambush in a movie that's all

Well I don't know what happened, but I'm now kicking Ottoman's ass hard.
They are now dropping like flies by my eastern Tercio and winged hussars, and I won a huge load of provinces from them.
I don't why I lost so bad before.

    1. You can check whole list of events thru txt files in game directory
    2. War capacity/score table is available only in latest, 2.1 NA patch.

Juggernaut, I don't know if that is the case but you mustn't underestimate the value of good generals. I did in my first campaign, and ended up loosing battles against Mali as Spain. (The shame) A high ranking general with a good land tradition are crucial for military success.

Agree. I just hire a great admiral and used 8 cogs to slay French in English Channel.

By the way, how to increase the chance of capturing enemy ship??

Is it only possible to buy NA online as a download? Because i don't have a credit card and so on, and i would rather buy it in a store, and it seems i simply got to buy it since everyone seems very positive about it, and all major mods are now for NA only

EDIT: Any chance that someone could link me to a version of Manda Mugni or Imago Dei that works for 1.3 without NA?

Not possible to get a boxed retail version of NA from all the info I've been told. Apparently Paradox are going this way with all future expansions which is a bit annoying. If you ever did want to sell your game there's no real resale value to a digitally downloaded expansion pack.

Here's a link to the latest MM link. There are instruction in there to download a version without having NA.
