Question about Extended Realism

I don`t think it is uploaded anywhere. It was hosted by MC and he probably deleted it when he uploaded v1.9. I`ve checked his filefront profile too and it only hosts the v1.9.

Oh, I'm stupid. Here's what you need to do.
1) Install RTW:BI.
2) Upgrade to 1.6
3) Run the _full_ 3.0.1 installer
4) Patch to 3.0.2


That'll take care of everything. Sorry I didn't remember it sooner.

I managed to acquire RTR: PE 1.8 by searching the forums for threads about it. I found a few downloads. You should be able to find it I think.

It was RTW:BI, sorry. As for the 1.6 upgrade patch, just Google rtw 1.6 patch and you'll find lots of copies.

To play with the BI exe BI is not necassary at all! All you need is the exe. This is useful for those with multiple installs (although personally I guess installing BI+1.6 is easier then installing 1.2 then 1.3 then 1.5)

Regardless of what order... you can delete the BI folder to play space if you don't like the BI campaign.

For the record, you don't need it to run the ExRM. Just follow the procedure I outlined a few posts above and you're good.

Are you running it off a "show err" shortcut?* Did you run the map_rwm.bat file before you tried to play?

Please tell me exactly how you installed it, any error messages you're getting, and the like.


*If not, create a shortcut to the BI.exe and put this in the target line:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /C "start /HIGH RomeTW-BI.exe %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9" -show_err -nm -mod:ExRM

first i installed RTW
2. I installed rtw 1,9

then i try to play it but its just freeze whole damn pc
and i dont get any error messages.

Oh, ok. This might be your problem.

Install RTW-BI. Patch it to 1.6. Do not install RTRPE 1.9. Then proceed with step 3 and beyond.
