Why have we gone from the greatest power to a continent with shrinking population?

Population growth rates. Disturbs me, alot.

    That legend looks wrong.
According to the Theory of War, which teaches that the best way to avoid the inconvenience of war is to pursue it away from your own country, it is more sensible for us to fight our notorious enemy in his own realm, with the joint power of our allies, than it is to wait for him at our own doors.

The percentages - instead of being on/beside a colour, they are on the borders. There are only 4 percentages, but 5 colours.

Is this where we answer with certain diseases and social problems or where we blame other countries for the European empires having collapsed.

Actually this year in Poland the number of births finally is higher than the number of deaths and most likely it will be better in the next years.

    I tend to agree.
It would actually be better if these growth rates hit other areas, such as africa and asia.

Which one is more powerful? We know the answer.
Well if its not China already its only a matter of time before it is.

If they wanted to they could conquer the entire region and we wouldn't be able to do anything aside from nuking them.

If a million Chinese invaded korea, again, could we really do anything? Last time we had a hard enough them when they had 1 gun per every 5 men....

What is wrong with Not being the greatest power ? What is wrong with a declining birth rate?

    I see no problem here.

Europe to be great needs peace and properity; a formula only attained through the greatness of it's people. What shall thery become? Europe will go the way of it's people. A society is only as good as the minds that makes up said society. To the garbadge bin of history or set out on a new course of European Greatness. That cross road , for mankind, is near at hand!

Ladies and gentlemen, don't get overexcited! Less population = less power.

    Wrong.

    China, about circa 1 billion

Huh? I don't see anything wrong with them.

Bur for those of you who aren't concerned, it's bad to have a declining birth rate. Who's gonna feed all the old people? We need young people to work and pay taxes to do that. Obviously we're lacking them. Hell is gonna break loose when those born during the 50s and 60s baby booms retire.

Uih Ukraine is in for some hard times.

And Serbs. But one of them isn't European, one is full of neanderthals (apparently) and one isn't even in the EU.
