Re: Please help graphics problem.
So this happens on both computers, or just the one? If it's just the one your graphics card is knackered/overheating.

Re: Please help graphics problem.
i'm pretty sure this is a problem with overheating graphics cards.
firstly, though, try updating your card's graphics drivers just to be sure it's not that. they should be available on your card manufacturer's website, just go to the site and search for "drivers"
if that doesn't help, think about ways to keep your card cool. maybe take off the side of your computer case, move it out into the open air, etc. if you're overclocking your card, you might want to take it back a few MHz or something.
i'm not an expert on this, so keep looking for answers..just consider these things!

Try turning off the ATI Catalyst® A.I.
Open your ATI Catalyst Control Center.
Select 3D, then Catalyst® A.I.
In the lower right of the ATI console window, you'll then see the option to Disable the Catalyst® A.I.
That might or might not help.
The Catalyst A.I. doesn't get along very well with older pre-Vista games like this.

I vote for overheat too... It is often burned cards, saying goodbye before dying...
I hope I am wrong
If I am true, try the warranty...

Re: Please help graphics problem.
Ain't overheating. My campaign map end of turn icons look like that battlemap and it's only after I conquer a good chunk of the map. I don't fight battles but I have read about this before. This has a bane of M2TW ever since it came out and everybody tried to conquer the map on a machine that works on RTW very well. I say it's the way the code for the graphics is written and how Windows handles it. Vista is the worst of the bunch. Got a graphics card for under $200 US that can conquer the whole map without corrupting the graphics?
