    Default General's Retinue

Is there is a limit to the amount of ancilliaries in the game? For example, my generals aren't getting any more chirurigens.. I think there are about 10 floating around my generals right now but even though I have guys sitting in cities with academies and scriptoriums, they don't seem to be gaining them anymore

Yep, there's a limit of 8, or six if you're a Roman under MC's leadership mod (two spaces reserved for titles).

ahhh... I mean is there a limit to the number of specific ancilliaries? For example, my generals have stopped acquiring chirurigens (sp?) the retinue member who helps with casulties and such... and for the most part, I'm getting priests of such and such a temple

oh, ok. I've never heard of or run across such a limit, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.
