Ok i am at a total loss, this is the first time this has happened to me but i would like to know if anyone has seen it before.
I started a new campaign as Scotland and got a bit carried away and over stretched regions controlled were
Edinburgh
Inverness
Dublin
York
Caernarvon
My elite units were off trying to get to Cairo on a crusade when Hungry took it before i got there. I turned the boat around and brought the lads home and so decided to crush my weakly defended allies the English i hit London with the crusaders and brought every spare man from up north down on Nottingham.
It totally backfired, two full stacks appeared from nowhere and beat me crusader stack to a pulp and in my haste for revenge i got excommunicated!
Taking a deep breath i quickly begged for forgiveness from the English and was told to go sit on my own pike!
With the English slowly edging up to my near empty settlements i handed over Caernarvon and York as gifts to the pope in an attempt to make a barrier between me and the English.
This is the freaking bit....both settlements turned to Byzantine!!!!!
I got the barrier i wanted but why did wales and the North east of england go purple....very odd?
