    Default Movement point question...

What would I need to toy with in order to increase movement points for siege machinery? It kinda sucks having to wait ten turns to get from Sicily to Alexandrea by sea.

well u save a turn by not having to create siege equipment, but i do wonder why your boats would go slower cause of the art on it.

The ratio between cavalry-infanty-artillery movement points is hardcoded. You can increase overall movement of armies, but not just one.

So I'd have to change the movement points for a general rather than be able to alter the movement points for artillery?

    That's sucky. >:|

    Yep.

There was talk of this on the internal forums not too long ago. Whether your army was entirely cavalry or infantry, you would still need to have a baggage train, which would be the limiting factor in movement speed. If you had artillery, it would be packed up and be in the baggage train, meaning it wouldn't slow your movement any more than food and supplies would.

Yes, movement of ships is reduced by what they are carrying. For example, try to move a general by ship in Winter..
