Low budget but questionably good. I believe the first Saw is considered low budget. But if one must have a classic sense of things.

Quite. Oddly enough my family used to own the land in Birkitsville where they filmed the Blair Witch Project...of course the whole movie is rubbish but meh.

And how ironic, I just saw the original Night of the Living Dead in my film class this morning. Awful.

Evil Dead was pretty low budget, but then again, horror movies aren't really my genre...

Any horror films by Larry Cohen. He has never worked with a big budget while directing or producing horror films .
