Default For B.C fans, Shahnameh podcasts

I have been really busy, but I have found something that has calmed me down. I cant post them, sadly, but if you search Itunes for "Shahnameh", it will come up with some wierd findings. "Amir Poorshani" reads the Shahnameh with this awsome Persian music in the background (I have alot of Persian music as well, if anyone is interested). Just listening to the Persian language calms me down, it is so cool! I can't wait to learn it in University!!
Anyways, better study up and calm down before B.C comes out
(don't get me wrong, I still love al-Arabiyya, hade lughratee, hade lughrat al-quddus )

P.S: I just learned recently, that "Farsi" is a term that is considered un PC, so use "Persian" from now on. Shukran

Kheili mamnun, Agha! Iin podcast kheili jaaleb o khoshgel ast. Dastet dard nakoneh!

    Translation:
Thank you sir! This podcast is very interesting and pretty. Dastet dard nakoneh sort of translates to don't strain yourself doing these nice things, it's part of Persian taarof or etiquette when someone shares something or does something for you. What kind of Persian music do you have? When do your persian classes start?

Tashakur ya sadiqi Irani! Ana satalib al-lughat Farsii (Persian) fii jemi'aa.
Inshallah, next year I will take Persian for the first time. I mostly have the "masters of Iranian music" series, with the tar, setar wa tabla. It's very good, I also have some Kurdish music, but not as "poetic" as Persian . Teach me some Persian words ya Saeed Shayan! I know some very pretty persian girls who would like to hear me speak

Btw: I really like "Dastet dard nakoneh", I will have to learn the equivalent bi Arabiyy.

    Also: while I still remember,
    1. can someone translate these persian songnames for me:
    Chahar Gah (dastgah)
    Houmayoun (is this a name?)
    Samâh-e rahâ'i
    Be Sou-yé Ou
    Shetâb-e didar

    2. Find me a good quote from Ferdowsi (I have read the Shahnameh, but I didn't remember all of it)

Hey, how about enlightening people what the Shahanmeh is because, believe it or not, lots are looking into this thread and going "wtf are they talking about".

Of course! I shall explain: The Shahnameh is a gigantic persian poem written in the 11th century, (400's in Hijra) by Abolqasim Ferdowsi in Iran. It is an Iranian cultural piece dedicated to preserving Iranian culture from the Invading arabs and the coming of Islam.
