Icon5 Slaves as a trade resource

Im playing as Romani and I enslaved Mediolanun populace after I conquered them. When I lookd at the settlement details slaves were not being shown as trade resources nor I had the slave icon in the campaign map. Is it supposed to be like this or just a bug? If it supposed to be like this so it is really not worth it to enslave populace cause I will reduce their numbers and have no return in doing so. Can someone explain or give some hints pls?

it says it right in the description, slaves are distributed amongst your cities, which makes them grow. can be a good or bad thing depending on your goals.

There is now a slave trade resource in some areas. Now, in EB, the enslavement of settlements makes 'refugees' and the icon that represents them is a little collection of tents that is a 'refugee camp'.

    Does that icon remain permanently?

Does the population get distributed aongst all your cities or just refugee camps?

It works exactly like 'slaves' would in RTW (since it is hardcoded). It was just renamed since it didn't make too much sense historically and so as to not be confused with the new 'slave' trade resource. It distribute an increase in population amongst your cities and will disappear after a couple years.

I checked and the tents icon is there in the campaign map. So this means the populace gets redistributed but I wont have any monetary gains related directly to the slaves, right? They wont give me direct income like other trade resources, fish, elephants etc?

I don't know. I think it is hardcoded so that they actually do give a slight trade bonus until they are completely redistributed.
