I installed the game once before, and it worked fine. I did the 1.2 patch and had a couple of mods. The game kept shutting down every now and then, so I figured I would uninstall and install all over again, start from scratch. I removed the files, removed the sega folder, and removed everything associated with MTW 2. But when I try to install, I keep getting this error.
crc error: The file C:/program files\sega\medieval II total war\data\sounds\voice1.dat doesn’t match the file in the setup’s .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup maybe corrupted, contact your software vendor.
I tried ignoring it, and the game played normal, but then I try the 1.2 patch, and it won't let me go any further, it automatically aborts. I looked up CRC error and tried to clean the disc of any smudges, that did not work. I even went and got another copy of the game in case it was to scratched up, but I get the same error. I found a section in the FAQ here about CRC errors, and I tried them, but they did not help either.
So please, if anyone has any idea on what to do, let me know.
Thanks,
Brad
