Default A ruined game and another question:

Well my ruined game was when in 2 turns the HRE and Byzantines died off without heirs and the two largest empires in the game collapsed.

My question was regarding the titles. My general, not even family member, took Toledo and got the title King of Castilla which comes from being the noble from Toledo.

I also remember another mod, in which titles would be awarded to the Faction Leader when the faction would hold a certain number of provinces.

i.e. Zaragoza & Barcelona = King of Aragon
Salamanca, Leon, Burgos & Toledo = King of Castille

Basically, this mod (Anno Domini) would in essence give bonuses to the faction leader by being ruler of Kingdoms. And, in a way, ensure that your faction leader is always kick ass =). And, finally, it would be defined by actual Kingdoms, Duchies and Counties. So you could be Duke of Toulouse, King of Castilla, King of Navarra by holding Salamanca, Leon, Burgos, Toledo, Pamplona, Toulouse. Minor bonuses in all of this and they stack up.

Just thought about throwing it out there since Velasco Garcia is some a-hole and shouldnt be holding my damn King title.

Sorry to hear about the demise of your opponents in such an un-knightly way, it usually doesn't happen with well established kingdoms.
Titles in PDER are given to the the first character in charge that happens to be in the town.
The idea to give titles for holding a certain number of provinces sounds good but might go a bit too far. What will happen if you loose one of these provinces? You can't script to loose an ancillary, maybe traits might work. We might have to have a look into it.

Maybe we can get in touch with the modders from Anno Domini..Im not sure how they did it.

And if I remember correctly, if you lost one of the provinces you lost the title.

Anno domino was an excellent mod, i loved that map they had, it was perfect, ber no longer does it now tho, he gave up like so many good mods due to the restrictions of hard coding, tho i believe alpaca has taken over but he has put on the back burner while he finishes of his Italian invicta mod.

I went to the designated boards for Anno Domini and Italia Invicta mods, and I have two thoughts:

    1. I think the map for this mod, and the future map for the next release of this mod is superior.

    2. I like their system, in the way in which it chooses the ruler of a city.

1] Thank you! Gives me some incentive to actually finish it now!
2] I do too. As this is a solo project (for now?), the next release will probably contain just the new factions. As the graphics and units alone for these are taking me forever (partly 'cause I'm new to Photoshop/Milkshape, partly because the new rosters will be entirely new), not much by way of scripting will be done.

That said, in future versions, I do intend to devote myself more to that element of modding. All in due time, mates! PDER won't be abandoned as long as there is something left to improve it!

please don't give up on this Socal, you are doing a fantastic job, you really are. Like I said before to many good mods have disappeared from the face of the earth because of the dis pare and frustration of the creators
