I don't necessarily want to see "Knights of the Old Republic: The Movie".
However if they must make more Star Wars movies I have thought that making a movie set in that time period might be a good way to go.
i agree....but personaly i want to see Revan on the big screen..lol

A foolish idea. The story clearly would not translate to film format. It is entirely one for interactive exploration of your character's powers.

it would likely explain more about what happend during the Jedi Civil War....

I'm not sure if Lucas would make any more movies. His goals now seem to be set on various forms of episodic mediums. I know he has two digitally animated series in the works as well as a live action series that takes place between episodes 3 and 4 that he is toying with. He calls it his 'Deadwood in Space' with Jedi's. Can anyone imagine a Star Wars film without a Jedi?
As for the topic at hand. I don't think we need Lucas making any more Star Wars movies.
Under the Patronage of Lord Condormanius
It has excellent story, but i dont think it fits to film format.
Waiting for Kotor III![]()
I don't see how the story would translate, unless each cinema visitor got their own movie and multiple choice questions after every set-piece. Seeing HK-47 on the big screen might be amusing though....Seriously, I'm not a fan of the Star Wars movies but I love the games. Don't taint my entertainment with disturbing memories of painful hours sat in a cinema.

I liked the KOTOR story a whole lot better than the actual movie story. Vader has nothing on Revan or Malak, and isnt nearly as cool looking. Cant wait for the third game!

When I was younger, nobody liked Star Wars more than I did. When the first of the last 3 films was announced, I waited in anticipation just like everyone else. Unfortunately, Lucas completely dropped the ball. The latter 3 films were lacking in just about every aspect. I think it would be a better idea to let this franchise die while it still has a shred of dignity left.
"There is a difference between what is wrong and what is evil. Evil is committed when clarity is taken away from what is clearly wrong, allowing wrong to be seen as less wrong, excusable, right, or an obligatory commandment of the Lord God Almighty.
Evil is bad sold as good, wrong sold as right, injustice sold as justice. Like the coat of a virus, a thin veil of right can disguise enormous wrong and confer an ability to infect others."

If they make a movie based on the KotOR timeline, then yes.
Making the original game into a game would be silly..

I assume you meant to say "making the original game into a movie..."
This is how I feel. I wouldn't mind seeing a movie with a whole bunch of Sith and Jedi set thousands of years before the original movies, but I don't necessarily want "KOTR: The movie based on the hit video game!"
I think the setting and overall gist of KOTOR could be made into a movie rather easily and with the right writers and director could be a fine movie.
