Default Lusteds Experimental Campaign AI Take II

Here is the 2nd version of my Experimental Campaign AI.

It features several improvements over the previous version of my Experimental Campaign AI. The AI now expands better and more quickly into rebel regions early on, garrisons it's cities better, will invade better and defend it's borders better. It should also ally against and gang up on the bigger, more powerful nations and will be more likely to attack the human on VH.

Simply place the files in the .zip into the Stainless Steel data folder. I also recommend editing descr_character.txt and setting the starting_action_points default value, and those for named characters and generals to 100.

Thanks lusted. What difficulty level do you suggest for most "realistic" diplomacy (I don't wanna end up as punching bag for the computer controlled factions, so I guess VH is not for. Should I go hard or even medium??)

EDIT: Btw, how did you finally solve the garrsion problem?

Hard or medium should be fine.

Basically replaced all defend_frontline with defend_fortified(basically does the same, but garrisons better and actually makes use of forts), and replaced as many defend_normal with defend_fortified as i felt i should.

Hi, aNarion, what is this: 'backstabbing'... I don't translate this word...
La bataille de Hastings! - 14 octobre 1066 -this battle will start a series of clashes between two mighty peoples, where France will extend a glorious future, leaving permanently etched their mark on British culture.

To betray. Like stabbing an ally/friend in the back.

Or to put it in M2 terms, the way Milan usually behaves.

I'mma try and see if I can get this to run with my current campaign, since I finally go to the Mongols.

I'll give this a whirl, and let you know how it goes. The last experimental AI was good stuff.

    hi lusted

tried your new AI on medium/medium with french in late era for 30 turn

get ally with papal states, byzantium, teutonic and aragon look good with them
but i was betrayed by german 4 turn after they accept alliance

the first thing i've noticed was england attacked me at bruges with a real full army that's more fun than your last AI (england attacked with half army in same condition)

so far i can just say great work!!
more fun with french for the first 30 turn

    EDIT: ok thanks

Lusted - the Pope is less willing to ally (England) than he used to and very quick to excomm (only after two minor offenses).
I see less activities among the other factions, it used to be more action there with the former version.
    Will try a different faction.

I can't do anything about that stuff occasionally happening, i can minimise things like that, but it will always happen to some degree or another.
