"Separation of Church" Lie Perpetuated by CNN's God Segment

What a propaganda piece. They could at least get it close to correct. Saying that Jefferson said that the second amendment said there was a wall of separation of church and state is a flat out lie.
I have nothing against the womens movement. Especially when Im walking behind it.

Liberal news? Since when? The news is the realm of conservatives for sure with their Clinton Blowjob, Iraq, and Iran coverage. Also how they hype up conservative politicians yet attack the so called liberal ones, quite strange.....

The liberal media is a myth/lie used by idiot conservatives who get mad on the rare occasion that their pet lashes out. I can't believe you still follow Reagan administration propaganda like sheep still, quite sad.

But you still haven't proven how CNN was lying about anything.
Thats because they dont attack the message, or try to feel its wrong, they take a card from the masterful reality manipulation deparment of political campaigns. Its funny how these politicians have even changed the way these people think. Why rely on facts when you have a gut feeling about things... right? Also what is with conservatives and their persecution complex? Even when they were running everything they still had it.

Are they still in the denial stage that the media works for them? Its quite obvious to everyone who is not a talk radiohead.

Jefferson never said the 1st amendment means theres a wall of separation of church and state as they said in the clip. Id have to watch it again to show the further lies.

Ridiculous. In the very same sentence where he mentions the first amendment quote, he says his 'wall between church and state' line and connects the two with a 'thus.' That's just basic English.

Now what did he mean by 'wall' is up to debate, and where you have a decent argument.

No its not. Again he said you have toi take the 1st amendment exactly as written . You cant read anything into it. Is that so hard for you to comprehend. Nowhere in that letter did he say that was what the first amendment said. It is not an official document . There was never a refference to this until 1947 when an ex clansman on the bench decided he didnt like Catholics getting money from the government for schools.

Now what did he mean by 'wall' is up to debate, and where you have a decent argument.
Its not in the first amendment. It is not law.

Can you tell me if he believed this why he and Madison held church services in the halls of congress and the Supreme court every sunday?

The problem nowadays is that if you are going to be a politician you have to be religious. This is nonsense since religion shouldn't influence politics in the first place. You can't go anywhere in the Republican party unless you are a very religious chrisitian, which is destroying the integreting of the party.

Merely the ability to feign religion will do and is probably far more common. And these are politicians you're talking about - lying about their beliefs is what they do for a living.

    lmao!

Abraham Lincoln wasn't even a Christian, he was actually against Christianity. I bet my life savings that guy didn't mention that.

Abe had a hard time accepting the idea of eternal damnation. Why should someone be punished forever for crimes that were commited in a short span of time?

Abe had a hard time accepting a lot of things about Christianity, he even wrote an essay against it. Unfortunately, it got destroyed because one of his friends thought the essay would hurt his political career.

God that made me want to gag it is wrong in so many ways that it is not funny. America was founded as a seculer country and the seperation of church and state is one of the things that i respect the most about America even if in practice it is ignored. CNN has falling to a new low.

Your confusing me here. Are you mad because CNN blew your side of it? There is no suchthing in the constitution as separation of church and state.

    True, Cluny.

And Rush, there isn't anything in the Constitution that says that church and religion should be together, much less seperated.
