Ridiculous. In the very same sentence where he mentions the first amendment quote, he says his 'wall between church and state' line and connects the two with a 'thus.' That's just basic English.

No its not. Again he said you have toi take the 1st amendment exactly as written . You cant read anything into it. Is that so hard for you to comprehend. Nowhere in that letter did he say that was what the first amendment said. It is not an official document . There was never a refference to this until 1947 when an ex clansman on the bench decided he didnt like Catholics getting money from the government for schools.
