    Default I love Autumn.

So it's that time of year again where I live in central US, the days are growing shorter and the days are getting cooler...but I love it.

You wake up with the windows open, and you're a bit cold but luckily there's that blanket right there to pull up and you lay there taking in the cool morning air before finally stumbling out of bed.

You sort through your clothes and find your most comfortable hoodie and jeans and put them on, get a cup of tea going, and read the paper.

You step outside and the wind moves your hair about so you put on a hat to keep in neat and hop on your bike. The wind comes again and you smell the leaves and rain that fell the night before. In the distance you can hear the cars driving through the puddles.

It's quiet out and everything seems to be going into a slumber of sorts and you're the sole active one at this time of day.

You head into class and step out an hour later and it's warmer out, and you take your hat off and maybe pull your sleeves back. The wind is still there andknock the leaves out of the spokes that got stuck over the course of the last hour.

You pause in a field to take it all in again, the smells, the feel, the sounds of Autumn.

Fk me if this is sentimental but it's my favorite time of year. I love how it varies, some days it's cool and you're a bit cold, other days it's warm and you can go about in shorts and a t shirt, but no matter what it's pleasant.

The leaves colors are so beautiful too there's something amazing about just watching the raindrops hit them.

    Now back to that paper.

Yeah its autumn here and normally I'd be inclined to agree with you, but my entire state is in a drought, everything has been dried up and dead for weeks, its still to ****ing hot, there's no rain on the way, and the only green spot on my lawn which I was just starting to get grass in is where my septic line runs isn't that pleasant? So right now no, just enjoy it since you have it.

Autumn in California means forest fires. Er, actually, that's any season.

Autumns already over, winter is about to start in the next few weeks.

Which is funny, since all the apple trees in my backyard haven't lost a single leaf yet, while the cherry and all the other trees are bare.

Autumn in America means Spring in Australia. While you're having your White Christmas, we'll be fending off bushfires. What fun!

Fall will be over here foliage wise in a few weeks. Probably a month left weather wise. Although winter and the holiday season has a lot of merit too (long nights, the smell of the cold air, snow, Christmas lights, etc).

    Seconded

Meditteranean winters are cool though (same with southern US winters), it never snows, just rains if you live in the right cities, that and 70+ temps year round, I'll take that over winter any day of the week.

More power to those who love winter, enjoy the snow fights and skating

I love certain things about each season, except fall is always way too short.

I wish we had a proper Autumn down here.

Brazil has got only two seasons. Summer and Summer-in-Denial. It's around 38ºC now and I'm sweating to death.

We've got the Four Seasons cycle in the South, where winters are harsh and it snows, but since around 60% of our population live in the South-east, it does not actually matter.

You should check out the autumn out in the country in Indiana. We have one of the best autumns, the trees all look beautiful right now.

Winter may be beautiful, but its cruel in Canada. I've been hit by snow so fast that it was like little daggers. Feet so cold they lose feeling. Oh well, the last few winters I have yet to see much of anything at all, Canada is just so...warm now.

Pfft, pine trees don't turn at all, and most of the northeast is pine trees. And rain, who likes that much rain?
