    Icon3 Change some factions

I love the Roma Surrectum mod but I would like to make a few changes.:hmmm: First, I want to make three roman factions starting out in Italy instead of just one. I like the SPQR faction flag but I would like to also have green and blue like RTW. Also add a few more cities to italy for the other two factions and have them as allies at start of game. Also let them train the same units.
I would also like to add some units of my own but i dont know how to do that.

Here is a great tutorial that explains how to add units.

"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show."

I'd suggest you just stick with a mod that fits your desires better. To change the factions to be 1 senate + 3 families (needed for the permanent alliance you want) you'd need to remove three other factions from the game. Adding more cities to rome means you'd have to remove as many other cities from the map as you want to add to Italy. As for adding your own units, I'm not sure how close we are to the unit/model limits but you're likely to have to remove some units to add any of your own. Though you could probably add a couple (less than 10 I'd guess) without going over the limit.

Try Casus Belli, i think they are the only mod still around that ignores historical reality.

They woke up.......their next release will eliminate the three Roman factions as well. Although, I do miss the Senate sometimes.... Guess I'll just put them back in my own.
