    Default Marian Reform -when?

I was wondering if anyone of you actually waited until 107 BC (in the game) to start the marian reform? How do you delay it until then?
Another question is when is the earliest that you managed to start the reform?

You can bring it about or delay it as long as you want by building the Imperial Palace in specific regions.

I once got it in 260 by first taking Byzantium by sea, though I think there where some cheats involved (I did a relocated campaign at the time, using only early Imp legions, so it was neccesary).
I'm not sure wether that is still possible after the last hotfix.

    Answering your last question first:

Assuming I take Baloma on the third turn of the game, build nothing but those buildings needed to get me to an imperial palace, manage the population so there's no waiting for growth, the earliest I have been able to trigger the reforms with the latest hotfix is about 248 B.C., so roughly 32 years or 64 turns.

    Answering your first question:

It's actually quite easy to trigger the reforms whenever you want after 250 B.C. You can do the same thing as above, only not so "fast" and just hold off building an imperial palace in any of the cities that will trigger the reforms. That is the key: so you'll want to take a moment and learn which cities will trigger the reforms so you don't trigger them by mistake.

Since Rome isn't one of the cities, you don't have to worry about that.

One note of caution: If you play the historic or slower game, it will be much harder. You will pay dearly for every city you take (unless your a great general, which I'm probably not).

Which are the Marian reform trigger cities? In each of them I have to build an Imperial Palace?

    They are:
    Mediolanum
    Patavium
    Byzantium
    Tarentum
    Bononia.

And no, you only have to build an imperial palace in one of these cities to trigger the reforms.
