Hmmm, No this game seems pretty moddable from head to toe.

The hardest thing I Cant mod is adding AOE splash damage to units like in warhammer... thats currently impossible,

I mean like everything most anything you think of you can change. Its just a matter of how.
If you have any specifics just ask.

As far as this system log, can you be more specific on how this works because im looking around in these files and I see PFM has an open ad decode tool built in,
and then im finding this list of what looks to be some kind of scripting commands with some function LUA language attached to it , and in these texts I see like dump log file commands for trouble shooting?

or like "get_forename" which sounds like a command you could use to query... so idk I think theres something else going on here and I feel like this system log might be an answer

I don't have CA steam games, so I really don't know. In m2, a system log is created at each game start and 'follow' what's going on, check triggers, scripts and more, and can tell you if you screw up with something, most of the time that is. Sometimes it doesn't have anything useful to say but it saved me from stupid misteps too. Can't say if there is such thing in shogun.

    Hmmmmm,
How would you access this system log? is it a text file generated somewhere?

In med2, it is generated by default in your main installation/logs folder path. You can change the path where it is generated in the config.cfg of your mod, a little more detail on it here.

But the system log is well known in med2, if you have never heard of it for shogun2, it might be because CA didn't think of providing one, or not one that is of so easy access?
