Great mod but...

I can't really play it... takes 15 mins to load... and another to get it going 100%... Gosh going to school sucks... my laptob can't really roll... i only have 1 gig ram...

No big but do you know what causes the slowdown?

I play ever other mod fine... i know your campaign map is a beast but dang... it's worth it... now the sky... kills my comp... but I love it...

Any tips to help speed up my game? Tricks I could use... I'm running on vista... nothing really with my comp as I can play SPQR on Huge with only minor lag on battles... and battles on EB run smooth just the camp map...

and great mod... exceptional work... a blessing for avid Total war fans like myself... brings life to a great game... that I can actually play without selling my soul for a new comp *cough*M2TW*cough*

I would suspect it is because they basically pushed the game engine to the max so it takes awhile to actually load everything. -Leon

Well considering that their is about 100 times more information going into the game then vanilla, that significant slowdown is inevitable. It's the price we have (gladly I might add) to pay for the great work of the EB team and the magnificent masterpiece of modding. You could almost say it is the price of perfection.

I tried EB on Vista with only 1 GB...sucked. 2 GB runs pretty good; I'm running with 3 GB now

Don't use Vista. Vista is a memory hog and it sucks at stability if poorly tuned.

Vista is just fine if you know how to use it.
I got it with an old P4 3GHZ and 1BG of RAM and it actually runs faster than XP once I disabled indexing...

Yours is like mine, but since I upgraded to 2 GB I really saw evolution!!! Next step is one new graphic card perhaps one 8900 G-force Series (if I can pay for it)
