Thank you.
Yes, I don't work on it regularly though so don't expect any update soon. That said, I do intend to work more on it, expanding the map and adding factions - whenever I feel like modding and have time.
Thank you.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing those fine winter atmosphere screenshots. Those are the first I've seen from someone else, nice to know that I'm not the only one who've played my little mod. ^^
Those West-Germanic general bodyguards are quite overpowered, especially their throwing weapons. I recall they were a late period Germanic unit in Arthurian, Germanic units being strong by themselves, but this unit even more so. Not much unit balancing has been done, if any, most units have the same stats as their counterparts in Arthurian still. Not that I'm in the mood or in possession of the time for any balancing or the like.
I'm studying this time-period at university now, only supplementary courses though (I might switch over when I'm done with my current bachelor). The most probable result in terms of modding I could achieve in the near future would be that of correcting the names and other such aspects; much of that is still preliminary or from years back and not up to date with my current knowledge or opinions...
I hope you all had a merry yule and wish you a happy new year!

Thanks for the nice screenshots
I updated the installation instructions with a note for Steam users.
I feel tempted to work on the mod, something might happen soon.
Have a good weekend!

Nicceeeeee
Looks impressive! Keep it up please !
Thank you! I've tried to reconstruct the Frisian coastline as it might have been in the iron age. If you're interested in iron age Frisia you might find this interesting.

Very interesting homepage. we had the same "frisian-coastline-problem" in the ib 2 forum. are you modding amleth alone? have you considered to contact Boz (Rog) or Rio (IB for RTW Bi) to share some data/information?
how many factions have you planned?
Yes, I'm modding alone. I haven't contacted any of the old IB developers, though I know a few things were shared between ATW and IB. My focus area is rather neglected in IB if I remember correctly.
The Amleth campaign will probably see a couple of factions added (Frisians and a Småland faction). There'll be around fourteen factions when I finish the major release (which will include all of southern Scandinavia and surroundings), then there might be some additions for the Beowulf campaign when/if I get there.

Småland faction?
Yes please!
I'm thinking to include the family of Arngrķmr and Angantżr who might have lived on Bolmsö. They'd be living in the territory known as Finnveden or "Finnheišr/Finnheišrin". What tribal name I could give them is more complicated. I'm leaning towards "Finnheišar" though the second part of that word would be the plural of heath/moor which doesn't really fit for a clan. Alternatively they could be named "Finnheišingar". I can't find the modern or any old demonym for a person from Finnveden.
EDIT: Also listed by Jordanes as "Finnaithae".

Finnheišingar would be the more correct choice I think.
edit: in modern Swedish it's Finnvedning

Working on revamping names, both for characters and settlements at the moment. I will try to make a polished version of the small-scale campaign before I move on to the major one.
