Hi, I'm playing as the Seleucids and my treasury is in the *******! It all started when I was asked my armenia or pontus to be their protectorate. Well... I thought I'd be able to rip them off by asking for atleast 15K. Guess what?! After I take their money and then attack them (thus canceling me being their protectorate), these guys are still taking money out of account.

Every turn under the diplomacy/tribute category, it shows that I'm spending 5058 denarii. WTF! Somebody is stealin' my money.

Help me teach these these a lesson (and yes, I do see all the irony in this, but there is no way I'm gonna be ripped of by the AI)

these were ym thoughts exactly. even though he cancelled the protectorate before the turn ended, he still probably had to pay the protectorate tribute for the 1 tun.

I suggest you destroy them as quickly as possible, to avoid going further into debt. If this means raising more armies, do so. It will be worth it.

Even if you cancel the 'alliance' you have with the protectorate holder, you still have to pay the tribute. Just destroy them as quickly as possible.

Maybe you're still allied with one of them even though you think you're not. Check the diplomancy scroll.
