    Default Question about Recruitable Generals..

    Hey Everyone,

I did search about this, hoping to find an answer, but didn't really find one, so just outright asking here, so don't flame if its been stated already, hehe

Anyway, I'm wondering, in the beginning of the game, when you play as the Roman Faction, is there anyway to recruit new generals? I've looked everywhere, in each of the starting city recruitment trees, and I can't find anything that lets me recruit generals.

Just curious if Rome can do it at the beginning of the game, as I'm roleplaying my characters a bit, and pretty much need more characters to fill those remaining Roman Office Positions!, hehe

    thanks,

    Two pieces of advice:

    1. To help save family members, when you conquer a territory, try to build a type IV government first. Doing so creates a local magistrate automatically to manage the settlement's affairs; that way, you will not have to "anchor" your family member in a newly conquered colony for years while the settlement transitions.

    2. any area can make locally recruitable generals now. all you need is a type IV govt. and the level 5 local MIC.

    Thanks for the Response.

Does its Main City, Rome, since its the capital, start with the proper goverment? and the Level 5 local MIC? I doubt it , cause I would have been able to recruit the generals then, hehe. But just wanna make sure!

    thanks!

Many factions get recruitable generals of their own culture in their factional MICs. I think it is Factional L4MIC for your own type of general.

    Just to clarify, for Romans:

The MICs are the Campvs building tree line right? or is it Avxilla Delectv Regionis Build Tree Line?

    thanks,

MIC stands for every kind of barracks. You have factional MICs (the red ones) and regional MICs (the brown ones). With factional MICs you can raise for example Hastati and with regional MICs you can raise.... well as Rome in Rome, absolutly nothing, save for the general(?), but for example, Hoplites in Taras.

What level of both MICs you can raise is determined by the government of that province: in a level I government (homeland) you can raise all levels of factional MICs but only the first two levels of regional MICs. In a level IV (allied) government you can have all levels of regional MICs but only one of the factional MICs. That's it in short.

Are you sure? Haven't heard of that before. So far, I am not able to raise generals in Rome, but I haven't built all MICs.

Maybe that was just some sort of temparary recruitment that was put in place for the internal versions and was changed before the release...
