Unpacker Help, A Challenge

I've become a bit infamous for my mysterious computer problems over the years and I've got another one with Medieval 2 (and Kingdoms) that I need some help with. I've asked on the official boards but got nowhere fast, so here goes.

I cannot use the unpacker. I have never been able to, not for M2 or any of the Kingdoms campaigns. Whenever I try I get the following error:

What is MiniDumpWriteDump? Who knows!

I have the latest version of W2KPro, and all the latest drivers for my various components as well as the horrid .NET 2.0 (though even if its uninstalled I get the same error!) If anyone could help me to actually unpack my game files, I'd really appreciate it--this is a problem I've been struggling with since the unpacker first came out.

Odd.

My only thought would be that Win2K might not have some of the necessary components that the unpacker relies on by default; but I'm sure we'd have heard about that by now if that was the case...
