i think patch 1.2 is the problem

ive reinstall m2tw many times still i get an error ''unspecified error the game will now exit" thats the error occur when i run m2tw right after ive installed the patch 1.2 and i cant install the patch 1.3 bcoz data2.pak is missing or invalid but b4 ive installed the patch 1.2 the game runs properly and i have taught that the problem is the patch 1.2 why many of us here are having the same error any suggestions on how to solve this problem??

Have you deleted the two files in the data folder after you unpack? They're called: data\descr_geography_new.txt
data\descr_geography_new.db

It says in the unpacker readme that these two files need to go, otherwise they'll cause the game to crash.
