    Default How can I make my merchants earn money?

    KK has mod merchants so they make more money. My question is: how?
    I'm playing the late campaign as Teutonic Order and when I place my merchant (3 gold) on amber, he makes about 70/turn. When I see a foreign merchant (also with 3 gold or less), he makes about 400/turn for amber. I don't get it.

    As for now, merchants aren't worth the money and managment imo

    Distance from your capital affects the amount of florins a merchant makes. What faction was the other merchant from? And sometimes two same resources can be worth different amounts of florins.

    you can adjust the descr_campaign_db, open the file with note pad and search for
    <merchants>
    <base_income_modifier float="1.2"/>
    <trade_bonus_offset float="20.0"/>

    you can adjust <base_income_modifier float="1.2"/> so they earn more, but this will effect all factions, so you will earn more but so will your opponents

    cheers
