Any chance of modding the "mod", so ships don't cost upkeep in port? I mean your Navy can be diabolically expensive to maintain (which is probably quite accurate) but IMHO I think we could use a free upkeep option when they are in port?![]()

Would you mind making this sticky?
My suggestion: include early generals/captain mod if possible

Give the Mongols a few more units to there roster??? Cause sieges are kinda hard without a strong heavy inf
Historically, the Mongols were able to defeat Western fortifications by pillaging the countryside to lure out the garrison. They never really used melee infantry. So my advice to you would be to starve out the enemy when besieging. After all, they need a weakness right?![]()
here my suggestions by topic
new regions:
isle of man
isle of malta
greenland
iceland
regarding factions:
change coat of arms of denmark and also the colors

ah a suggestion thread, I was already considering on making one of my own but instead I will add to this one.
alright, regarding the factions transfered from kingdoms..
They still need new skins here and there, The Irish gunpowder units look like nobles while they arent nobles for example. They could perhaps look a little more dressed for war. The colors of Norway and Lithuania are rather bright and could definatly use new skins.
Furthermore, the Irish and Lithuania could use some more units in their roster. Their rosters are a bit small compared to other factions after all.
Considering forts on maps, instead of making them permanent, maybe they could be build just like the camps, only at a much higher cost and getting abandoned as well when not occupied? This would greatly help with defending strategic positions.
Spain and Aragon are too much alike, I believe the only thing that Spain has that Aragon doesnt have is Gendarmes. I suggest that Conquistadores and dismounted conquistadores become part of the Spanish roster, everywhere on the map.
Since the ritterbruder are far more interesting looking than the teutonic knights of the original game, I suggest that the ritterbruder and dismounted ritterbruder become available at the teutonic guild.
I personly still feel that the swordsmen units that where given to most factions arent really feeling like part of the rosters yet. I am personly thinking that round shields would be more suitable for simple swordsmen than the knightly heather shields.
I am personly a great fan of large varied unit rosters, I wont miss the removed units though, it where good decisions. Still, seeing more units added to any factions is very welcome to me. Perhaps some mercenary units could be made available to a faction with a suitable skin.
Add the new grass from kingdoms.
It's sexy.
PLEASE.
Something which would be very important:
Make "military access" in the diplomacy menu available even if you don't have a alliance with the faction. It sucks to get a huge reputation hit, just for moving a general from one city to another, when a territory of a neighboring faction is crossed.
My Home is my Castle.
A ERA mod would make it possible to play a 0.5 or 1 turn/year game whit out having citadels in the early 1100
Just a small (and I mean really small) thing - when selecting factions, both Novgorod and Rus have identical overviews. Could we possibly have a re-write for 1 (or both) please?![]()
Just a Few Suggestion:
-Fix and more fix is always great.
-Testing with diffrent A.I (Lusted seem mess up in 5.0)
-Special Effects mod by Horse Archer?
- Animation & Flag Holder Mod by Niko :http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=118688
I'm sure there will be another round of AI testing for 5.0, both battle and campaign, for the latest versions of the AIs.

Totally agree. This one is looking awesome. Cant wait for it to be released.
Yes, I can't wait as well.
But I read up on changing animation and model.
With his extensive change. Won't it take a LONG time to make
all the model compatable? Skeleton change or what-not.
I'm not good at modding so feel free to confirm or correct me.
Please educate me![]()
As for the A.I:
LOL, yes I had fun testing 4 diffrent A.I for 4.0, well worth it and fun reading.
I wonder why this hasn't been sticky yet. Took me 5 page to find this.
No way I'm going to post in 4.2 Suggestions if there's already a 5.0 thread.
Anyway new suggestion:
Niko Animation mod is almost complete. KEEP AN EYE ON THAT!
Also there's a animation pack RELEASE! It remove that stupid universal "punch" animation. Where sword or w/e try to PUNCH soldier even though they have a sword. This mod remove it. I can go on but read it HERE.

I'd love to see some of the music from Kingdoms implemented into SS, I've no idea if its possible, but some of those new Western European and Crusades campaign tracks are great. Especially the European battle music.
Again i have no idea how this is implemented, me being as computer literate as a spoon i attempted to simply copy the music.dat and idx from the British Isles campaign folder into the SS sound folder, but it didn't work at allto my dismay.
The way I implemented my custom music (over 300 tracks including music from medieval-based movies, mtw, m2tw, kingdoms ost and other stuff):
1. You should extract the music mp3s from all 4 kingdoms campaigns with vercingetorix tool link
2. Then follow the custom music guide here
by placing all the wanted mp3s in m2tw/data/sounds and editing descr_sounds_music.txt as described in guide.
3. later when you have the music installed in vanilla (following the guide), just copy your edited descr_sounds_music.txt to SS/data and delete 2 events files in SS/data/sounds and that should work (it did for me)![]()
