When I open Medieval the screen immediately goes nearly pitch black and to the point where I can only see the outlines of a few letters. Then when I do manage to close the game there is a message waiting on the desktop to tell me about a fatal error and how Medieval had to close.

I have tried reinstalling and reformatting.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
