1) am I able to to add other faction units to another factions going into the modeldb file , copying another faction's unit and editing it for the faction I want ? (Example: russian feudal knight)

2) Is there any changes to alliances and diplomacy? are alliances now long lasting? I quickly looked at the changes and did not see anything on this

1. Yes. Check the workshop forum area for tutorials on how to do this.

2. Yes but only if you download a new campaign AI such as Lusted's or Ultimate AI. There are threads for each with download locations on this forum.
