    Default AI enhancement for EB 1.0

    I love EB but the AI on and off the battlefield is pretty inept. Please post here if you know of any improvements to the AI that are compatible with EB 1.0. So far I'm set up to play on BI.exe that's it.

    The adapted formation mods for EB 0.8 ought to work with EB 1.0 as well. I don't know if they are still better, though: I understand EB's formations have been improved since. Anyway, modded or unmodded, R:TW's A.I. remains unimpressive at best.

    i dunno, sinhuet's formations and darthmod both drastically improve AI behaviour

    I have played both, and I still can defeat the A.I. at equal odds with ease, unlike for example S:TW, where the A.I. poses a threat. That's not to say that S:TW's A.I. is truly challenging, because it isn't, but there is less room for mistakes, and it will occasionally suprise you, unlike the predictable A.I. of R:TW.

    for whatever reason BI isn't working out but I'm using DM on vh/h with the KH faction so it should be alright. Do you guys use fog of war in campaigns? Usually I keep it on but this time I want to be able to see what's going on with my first EB 1.0 game.

    did u notice the lack of ai activity without the fog of war.... still great mod.

    I've installed 1.0 to work on BI, and just it did before, it seems to work out pretty good. AI movements such as invasions are evident.

    The best AI enhancement for RTW is your own detraction. Don't play with full stacks, instead have half stack armies, or 12 unit ones at most. You'll really find it challenging then. Having invaded Europe as the Casse, I have one half stack and one 12 stack army, and it's frightening to see the superior Auedi armies after their reforms, and their naked crazy bastards coming down on me by the thousands. Sometimes I'm tempted to recruit mercs right before a big battle where I'm outnumbered too greatly, and sometimes I succumb because I know there's no way I'll win. Try it out, it's fun and challenging and really adds to the experience.

    Also, the default EB formations are pretty good. In a recent battle, I believe it was an Arverni army that advanced on mine, with their flanks splitting out and encircling me while the center crashed into my lines. It was frightening indeed and were it not for some quick maneuvering and readjustments to my lines, I would surely have lost the battle instead of just barely winning with most of my troops dead.

    The way to make EB function with BI remains the same?

    What is the most challenging AI to be used in 1.0, its packed one or sinhuet?

    Hope the AI's were unificated in 1 project to ease things

    Same as it's always been. There is an installer over at the org made by a fan in the EB Unofficial Mod Thread over there in case your not comfortable doing it yourself. Here's the link if your interested:

    This is merely a matter of opinion and preference. However, the Battle AI formations in 1.0 have been improved upon from previous versions, so you may just want to give these a try for awhile before you decide on an alternative.

    Hope the AI's were unificated in 1 project to ease things

    Seriously speaking however, the answer to that is no. As the EB team works on their own formations.

    I'm assuming then, Lysander13, that you have thoroughly tested Sinuhet's, Darthvader's, and EB's formations extensively to conclude that: 'This is merely a matter of opinion and preference'?

    As it happens, yes i have and i'm speaking only as it's relative to EB and this happens to be my opinion. Although, i would imagine this would apply to most mods that either use DV's, Sinuhet's, or their own formations. I did not mean for the reader to infer anything negative from that comment. Simply, that as far as EB itself is concerned...some would perhaps have a preference for using DV's, Sinuhet's, or the formations provided by the EB installation itself and that which one is "better or more challenging" is perhaps a matter of opinion depending on who your asking, is all. For example, as it happens, i have a propensity to favor Sinuhet's Formations regardless of which mod i happen to be playing and Sinuhet's Formations is what i use in my version of EB. Other's may not feel the same, they may prefer DV's or EB's formations. Same with fans of other mods in general i would imagine that use either DV Formations or Sinuhet's....Some would prefer DV's, while other's would prefer Sinuhet's and which one is "better or more challenging" is probably a matter of opinion and preference, depending on who is being asked the question. That's all i meant....Nothing negative. Now get back to work on RS2 will ya?...

    Hehehehe, wow, ya know, english isnt my main language , sorry

    Sometimes we portuguese speakers make 'latinized' versions of english words, or maybe 'englished' versions of some portuguese words, lol

    I understand So far I have allways played with the packed AI, but allways wondered what the other did diferent, but I really dont expect much of a diference
