Default Re: Medieval2tw Kingdoms unexpecified Error

Just a hint: when you reinstalled the game (I suppose both M2TW and Kingdoms), did you install it in a new directory? Or did you at least clean everything that was left in the original install dir after uninstalling?
After uninstalling the game, cleaning the registry of any M2-related entries (if any are left behind) could help as well. To do so under Windows XP, open Regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHNE/SOFTWARE/SEGA and delete any keys starting with Medieval II Total War.
If it still doesn't work, you should try installing M2TW+Kingdoms on an other computer (that of a brother/sister, a friend, etc.) and see if it works. If it does, there may be some problem with your software environment (OS, other installed applications). If the error persists there as well, your copy could be very well damaged, and should ask for an exchange in the store you bought it from (or contact someone on Steam, if you got it off there).
    Hope that helps...
