Default Possible idea for a "Realistic" gameplay AAR

I realize I'm a noob here, but I've started playing TW a little bit after MTW1 came out, so I know what I'm doing. I've got the idea in my head about doing a gameplay AAR for France or another country where I play it like an egotistical knight. I'll use rules such as:

No attacking in the winter, it's not the right season! (This something I do anyways, it adds more challenge then you think)

No adoptions or any outside the family relationships, we'll expand with our own kind.

Fighting on foot is not the job for a knight, and this whole "archery" thing is unhonorable Calvary can beat anything.

Other religons are infidels. I must declare war on them if I border them, and I must join every crusade.

The Pope is the master of all that is holy. I shall obey him, unless I'm fighting England.

Peasants don't like taxes? Who cares? (If you think this will aid me more then it will hurt me, then speak up.)

We must give the enemy time to prepare for war. (Declare war with a diplomat, then wait one turn before attacking.)

Rome and Jerusalm are sacred, it must not be touched (no sacking or exterminating.)

Thats it, what do you think and should I use any other rules.

It would be nice to see an AAR with those rules.

I like most of those ideas.

I also have started playing with a rule that I can never leave any settlement without a commander and I cannot send any army on a mission without a leader, so my expansion is limited by the number of people I have in my family.

This makes it slower to expand but more realistic I think, also you really have to look after your family members and not commit them to battle too early or when they are outnumbered badly.

But a real Franish family member would never shy away from battle.

Turns 1-20 coming up. Difficulty M/H, unit size large (I love my computer) playing as the French. All rules listed above will be followed.

    OK:
    winter fighting
knights fight only on horses, well very ok if you play the french especially in combo with the archery thing (Battle of Agincourt .)

but what I dont get especially for a realistic gameplay

Sacking of Jerusalem. well if you play a muslim faction it would be historically accurate to not sack or exterminate Jerusalem. The crusaders were not that picky about Jerusalem being a holy city, actually it was the biggest bloodbath the city ever expierienced when the "good" crusaders took over and it did not matter much which religion you had...

Diplomatic relations with muslim countries. Especially france has a long history of supporting the ottoman empire (as long as it fought the HRE and Austria )

and the pope, well the pope did not mean that much to too many leaders back in the days. (and it makes your gameplay harder if you are excommed )

Well, I'm trying to be a religous knight too, so the pope rules were put in for that and to add some challenge. However, I agree with the sacking. I always found it funny that even though the cruasders came to help pilgrims and purge the Muslims, they were the ones who really did the nasty, horrible things.

My adhearence to the superiority of the cavalry has produced very interesting results. (coughChargeOfTheLightBrigadecough) If all goes well, though, The Battle of Agincourt will be recreated in my game.

I'm sorry I hadn't updated, but me FINNALLY getting the AOE3 expansion distracted me and I've also been having problems with imageshack, so no battle pictures in this update. I'm am finishing up the end of it right now, so I'll edit this post and put it up.

EDIT: Sorry, but i'm not doing it. I lost all my screenies for 60 turns, and I'm an impatiant idiot and didn't make backup saves. All I have to say is that the rules were interesting, but more of "The Charge of the Light Brigade" interesting then a hot giel interesting.

that does sound like a very good rule set for an AAR.
