UHOH! Blue Screen Crash?

Hey everybody,

I'm having issues with my M2:TW, and I was wondering if you guys could shed some light. After launching the game, everything runs perfectly smooth (game menus, campaign map etc...). However, when I enter a battle, my game commonly crashes to a blue screen error, and I have to restart my PC. Here is the specific message that pops up:

***Hardware Malfunction
Call your Hardware Vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error
*** The System has halted ***

I'm just very confused, because my computer doesn't have problems running any other programs. I was planning on picking up Kingdoms soon, but If I can't play M2:TW, whats the use?

A blue screen ussually indicates some sort of hardware failure. Try downloading memtest and test you're memory for errors.

I've experienced the same, but it was when I had a big battle and all graphic-settings on HIGH. I restarted using MEDIUM settings, and all was fine. I have Kingdoms.

Run memtest overnight. If that turns up nothing, try lowering the graphics settings and trying again.

Hey everybody, I've been playing the game on Medium settings, and its running fine

Thanks for the heads up on that. I couldn't for the life of me figure it out.
