    Default Need Mod Suggestion...

    Hello all:

Just getting back into R:TW (v1.5) after getting my new rig up and running - specs below - not the latest and greatest but respectable.

Want some advice on a good mod that perhaps offers re-skins and some "legion" structure but still maintains the 3 faction Rome structure and doesn't add too many more provinces/cities.

    Any advice?

    System specs;
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core AM2 3500+ CPU
    2GB DDR2 PC4200 Non-ECC Memory (2GB x 1)
    K9N Neo-F AM2 ATX mobo
    160GB 7200RPM 3G SATA II Hard Drive
    16X DVD+/-R/RW Dual Layer Drive w/Cyberlink
    GeForce 7600GT 256MB PCI-Express (2 DVI)
    Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio
    Windows XP Professional

    Thanks.
    Barkhorn.

I'd say Darthmod. Keeps the 3 families and I think you can play on the original map. Good AI, new skins.

If you prefer the Greek Factions, the Extended Greek Mod is the way to go.

It keeps the feel of Vanilla, but its adds loads of new units, a few new factions, and some important gameplay features. Check it out!

Roma surrectum is a great mod if you like playing romans but it adds alot more regions and gets rid of the 3 roman families and condenses them into 1, both are features that I love.
"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show."
