First impressions
hi folks!
This is an amazing mod, and I really appreciate the ammount of work that must have gone down to create it. Ive now tried 7.03, since it was recommended as the most stable version.
However there is a few things I would like to point out:
1) Heavy onagers (and perhaps other siege machines) are way to precise. This makes them extremly lethal in battle.
2) When playing the Eastern Empire, I found that the Sassasanids where very powerful. Then I switched sides, and I think Im correct.
a) Peroozetae and saravan cav: to many in a unit, to cheap to build and to cheap to maintain.
b) Paighan, these have better stats than roman units who cost twice as much. And they have very low cost to maintain.
Same can be said about barbarian horse cav (or archers), cost 80 to build and 20 to maintain!
Good luck with 7.1, I will be looking forward to it.

Re: First impressions
I found some of the sassanid cavalry too good. I think I ended up adding a turn to the amount of time necessary to recruite the peroozetae at first, but then just decided to cut the number of men in the unit down by half instead (leaving the price the same), since it still sucked to have an army of 10 peroozetae and a single Paighan attack me at Amida or Mosul every other turn with Elephants.
Somehow during my games the Sassanids can recruit Elephants very fast (too fast really, if they're supposed to take 3 turns to recruit) and I've had armies with up to six units of elephants attack me also roughly every other turn at Amida and Mosul also. Good thing their stats are toned down or they'd never get stopped. Can elephant units be retrained at Ctesiphon or Susa since they have the Elephant resource? Is that how they continue attacking despite me killing every last elephant in their units?
I think the Sassanids need a little rebalancing.
