CAE v1.3 CTD-BUG FIXER


This is a CTD-Bug fixer for Clouds Across Europe mod v1.3.


The fixer contains following fixes:


-Long termed CTD that occurs between the years 1080+ or sometimes earlier is fixed.
-Leader Assasination related CTD when you receive the mission assassinate the faction leader is fixed.
-Teutonic vessel and Abbasid vessel Baghlah missing unit info tga's and the Teutons unable to build hog is fixed.
-Fixed the Aztec's faction small and large symbols appearing as Jerusalem is fixed.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the fixer zip to the directory:

Programfiles/SEGA/Medieval II Total War

Unfortunately I couldn't fix it sofar.It's an extremely unlogical and mischieving bug.For now when loading the saved game the players should destroy and reconstruct the building.

The bug only occurs when you load your campaign save.

EDIT:

THE RELIGION RELATED BUG ABOUT THE MONGOLS TEMPLE HAD ALSO BEEN FIXED AND ADDED TO THE FIXER

Thank you daud... Wait I haven't noticed that the download links weren't up to date I will update them immediately and thank you for the warning.

Just checked the mod's download sticky.It's up to date.Also have downloaded the fixer .zip to my desktop and tried to extract it with winrar and extracted the files successfully.No problem with that The download link of the fixer is as usual:

As a matter of fact not much since scripting itself is also coding.But while coding are the commands itself a script is kind of a tool that executes the commands.

Coding is about editin units, stats, doing boring work like adding descriptions, well pretty much all about editing text files, hovewer Scripting refers speciffically to "the scripts" aspect of coding...

It's probably just you since you've created new regions and forgot to indicate the accent type for this new provinces in the descr_sounds_music.txt

Sorry Eranshahr I do and base my changes/improvements and fixes on the main mod,the changes related to other parts that Ieuanos and Carnium have added or developed belong to them and their mini-mod.

Hi, I am having a problem with playing CAE with MTW 2. I am playing as Jerusalem. I have installed this bug fixer, but I am still getting the same problem.
When I try to fight a battle, I can see the battle map for about 1/4 a second (it looks incomplete, with a large black region) and then it crashes to desktop. I then get an error that says something like “it experienced an unexpected error” This not only happens in campaign mode, but also in customized battles.

I really don’t know much about computers, but this game is really cool and I would really like to play it with this MOD. I am running windows vista.

Any help would be great.


oh, also, when I am at the menu, the icon to select KoJ is the same as England.. I don't know if that matters

Hello Jamis.. First of all I'd like to remind you that instead of opening a thread by yourself you need to post this to the mod's CTD's and Bug's thread which is at this link:

As for the answer of your question.. I'd like to say that while browsing the other hosted modifications,someoneelse that were using vista posted in the DLV sub-forum regarding his problems with the mod,and developers answered him that DLV might not run with vista.. I will also say the mod may not run as smoothly as it should with vista...

The ctd and the bug you experience can't just technically happen..Because I've checked all the KOJ units and all of them have no ctds.Also the symbol of Jerusalem are included within the mod and it shouldn't be displayed as England's symbol.. So these make me think CAE is not very much compatible with vista...

Yes, but to start a campaign you have to do the following steps:
Delete the map.rwm file here:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\DLV_ext\data\world\maps\base
Your path after VirtualStore may vary if you used other than the default install path.

Thank you for saying that you enjoy the mod Victus if your problems are exact as Jamis then I'm convinced that unfortunately these problems occur because of mod's compatibility issues with vista.. Especially the KOJ/England bug convinces me that unfortunately I'm right.

You guys(jamis and victus) keep me updated about any bug or ctd.When finalizing the mod there may be a possibility that the mod can work fine in vista,too.

Your edited part gave me an idea,as for starters try the samething and see if that works.

1-Go to the directory:

Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\CloudsAcrossEurope\data\world\maps\base

2- delete the file:

map.rwm

And see if that works... Don't worry about deleting it..the game generates the map.rwm file

P.S:

Jamis you apply the same and see if that works,too...
