And in 1263sd King Haakon arrived!! Great news! Except, he died several years ago. :hmmm:
Nervertheless, he is assualting Iverness as we speak...
As Norway, now dealing with seaborne assualts by Scotland, Welsh and the Irish. Hopefully I can take Iverness and get a foot-up on the Scotts.

The House of Baltar
Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers
Thats creepy... "King Haakon the Undead"
I am having the same missing text issues as well. Most text is in the right spot, but the unit status info during battle is missing and the "authority" text is missing from the character details page.
The undead King Haakon is creepy and buggy!
The campaign script doesn't care if a character has shuffled off their mortal coil...if they're scheduled to arrive on map, it'll send 'em in dead or alive...*sigh* (Shake off that deadness and git in there soldier!)
I'll probably have to change that to have King Haakon start on map and have the campaign event be "Reinforcements from the Homeland" led by another general.
If there were a test in script to see if a character t'were dead that would be nice...
----------------------
For the missing text, y'all are reporting issues that are exactly like the pre-bug fix problem when the following files were missing:
path: Medieval II Total War/mods/dlv_british_isles/data/text
shared.txt 31KB
shared.txt.strings.bin 14KB
strat.txt 186KB
strat.txt.strings.bin 112KB
Would you confirm those four files are present and accounted for, and that their sizes match the above?
Cheers!

I loaded fixes, still didn't have merchants monies showing right, doing clean load like suggested. I was losing, heck. LOL. By the way, I didn't see where RC was included. Is it still on the list of things coming. DLV RULES-THE KING. I am having fun getting the heck kicked out of me as English. VH/VH
Current age settings in DLV Britannia 1.2 are chance of death starts at: 29, dead for sure: 100 (these are different settings than in Deus lo Vult). Since it's an equal chance of death each turn, with this spread it works out that a character's % chance of reaching a given age are as follows:
29 -- 99%
34 -- 87%
39 -- 75%
49 -- 56%
59 -- 42%
69 -- 32%
79 -- 24%
89 -- 18%
99 -- 13%
100 -- 0%
A better setting would be to top at 90 which would give:
29 -- 98%
34 -- 85%
39 -- 71%
49 -- 51%
59 -- 36%
69 -- 26%
79 -- 18%
89 -- 13%
90 -- 0%
Percentages are all rounded and are only correct for characters that aren't present at game start at an age greater than 28. I'll adjust in the next update. Cheers! dd

Ok, I unistalled my current setup and reinstalled using only:For the missing text, y'all are reporting issues that are exactly like the pre-bug fix problem when the following files were missing:

DLV_Britannia_1_1_Install.exe
DLV_Britannia_1_2a_Upgrade.exe
I checked the files you indicated above and they are present and the size you have indicated.
Unfortunately, I am still missing some text...
Any thoughts on what may be going wrong? :hmmm:
@Sinister Felix
Well that's no good...hmpffff :hmmm:
Sinister, same text missing for you as for Gaius? Merchants, battle menus and unit descriptions?
I'm out of bright ideas at the moment, but perhaps we can find the source with a few more clues.
You did check your video setup, make sure it was all correct, yes?

@adambomb
I substituted Darth's Kingdoms Battle AI for Point Blank's RC...they both modded common files so I had to pick one or figure out how to merge (I went the easy route).
I wanted Darth's for the improved formations and cavalry behavior.
Cheers!

Tks for reply. Merchants still not right with new reload. Use uninstall to clean, I didn't do a search for files DLV brit. camp. though. Probably should have. You can see money for merchants in coin icon. DLV RULES-THE KING.
I dont see the text either. In the place of my missing text is a white box during battles.
Medieval II Total War/mods/dlv_british_isles/data/text
shared.txt 31KB
shared.txt.strings.bin 14KB
strat.txt 186KB
strat.txt.strings.bin 112KB
All these files are in the right place and are the right size. Maybe the problim is not in the text folder? I dunno.
Thanks for the hard work. I know its not easy.
@ derdrakken
It looks like I am having just the same problem's w/ text as Gauis (minus one undead scandanavian king ). I checked my merchants and they have no income text either.
I played around with the video settings and everything looks correct...
Just to be sure there wasn't any residual effect from previous installations I deleted my DLV_britisles file and re-installed using:
DLV_Britannia_1_1_Install.exe
DLV_Britannia_1_2a_Upgrade.exe
I checked the files you specified, and they are present and the right size.
So I should have the same setup as you described...

This text problem would make the baby Jesus cry...I'll work on the undead King Haakon first.
Now where did I put my Zombie shotgun?
Cheers! dd
Here's the new event for the arrival of the troops from Norway:
And here's the Jarl himself...he has a spiffy new ancillary:
King Haakon now starts on the map in Wick at game start.
This change in the campaign script eliminates the Zombie King bug (or zombie anything bug). I'll put this in the next update.
Cheers!

lol, yes baby Jesus is very saddened by this turn of events...This text problem would make the baby Jesus cry
Nice work on that Zombie!

I have found that Removing battle.sd from mods/dlv_british_isles/data/UI is a temporary fix for the white box during battles.
Hi,
Thanks : I will try to delete this file.
I tried using this mod and had the same text problems everyone else is talking about. Would unpacking the british_isles folder, installing DLV Britannia, and copying the british_isles text folder over the DLV Britannia folder work?
