One of the things i've always missed about Medieval 2 is the ability to bribe enemy armies for their custom units that you couldn't get otherwise. I understand the game mechanics reasons of why this happens, and all that, but it came to me right after wondering this that there is a way to do that, and greatly enhance the 'cultural' feel of the game: making nearly every unit different based on the region it's recruited in.
Not exactly an AoR system, where certain types of units can be recruited in certain places (I do like it, but it's already been done/is being done). What i had in mind was more clothing specific, where the skin of a unit changes depending upon the area it's recruited in, and maybe even unit stats. For instance, Byzantine Infantry would wear plaid tunics and pants (if any) under their armor if they were recruited in Ireland or Scotland, and maybe even have an extra point of attack at the cost of some discipline (impetuousness, maybe). All the militia and peasant units would change clothing, but other units such as Byzantine Lancers and Kataphraktoi would not, to represent the movement of natural Greeks out to these places as colonists, etc, and other units, such as Latinkon, would not be recruitable in these areas, but rather replaced with Feudal Knights, etc (which they essentially are, they've just moved to Greece as mercenaries). It's probably a good deal of work, and might even be impossible (unit caps?), but I think it would add a great deal of flavor to the game, especially if classic AoR specific units were incorporated.
I guess i should probably get to my question: Is anything like this planned, or is there any interest in it?

PS: I'd be willing to help out in any sort of planning/research for this.
