Same crash in every total war game
Hello, Im new here, so please redirect me if an answer to my following question has already been explained, or Im in the wrong forum section.
Problem:
I have had this problem for about 3 weeks now. After a few minutes of play in a Campain my computer freezes and crashes. Sometimes when Im in the first battle of the campain, and sometimes even only after turn 1 or 2. The picture on the screen get "broken and freezes", like it can't run the grafics options chosen.
Computerspecs:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU
6600, 2.40GHz
2,00 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7950 (Latest drivers installed)
My computer is powerful enough at is it. Drivers are installed. Could it be the new drivers that crashes the game?
Ive been able to run both Total War: Rome and Medieval II in the past without this problem, but now it seems it happens in every total war game and it is really frustrating.
Also, I have just installed the 1.2 and 1.3 update for Medieval II (Not the first - should I?) Could it be the update that is messing with the game? I just cant see how those updates could affect for example Total War: Rome.
If any of you cant help me, Im forced to reinstall my entire software, which Id rather not.
Please help, Thank you
Lars

Sounds more like a hardware problem to me...... maybe the ball-bearings on the fan are broken.... it happened to me and it was nearly the same.
