Question about custom battle

In custom battles, is there a way for me to defend a settlement instead of trying to take it?

on the facttion select page, there should be a read sword next the selected faction. click on it and you will be defender. The icon would change to a green shield.

Yea, that should do the trick. Just click on the button (if you don't know which, check the manual). The "usual" way of playing a costume battle is by not having any attacking/defending factions. You're just neutral. But it's hard to be neutral when you defend a city. Should both sides rush into the city from both sides and fight at the plaza?

i thnk you can simply change the team no. ie. instead of attacking and being team 1, you just change around with CPU to make it no. 1.

There should be a green down-facing sword and a red kite shield. Simply click on them both to make yours the kite shield and the enemies' the sword. You're set!
