This is odd.

I've had Rome and Medieval 2 on this pc before and played them without a problem.
I reinstalled Rome and installed Napoleonic 2 TW mod, I hadnt played it in a while and fancied another go.

Napoleonic 2 TW crashed every time I tried to play a battle, at the loading screen.

I tried Rome, that crashed just the same.

I tried Medieval 2, that also crashes. It reports an "unspecified error".

I tried fresh reinstalls of Rome, and Medieval 2, the game still crashes. I've patched them both and tried installing the latest drivers for my graphics card. No luck.

I havent managed to solve this problem but I thought I'd try Kingdoms just in case there was an update that would fix it. (and because i knew it would make me get of my ass and figure it out).

Still no luck. I'm out of ideas. It used to work, now it doesnt.

For info, here are my specs:

3.1 GHz
Radeon X800
Windows XP
1Gb Ram

Also worth pointing out that I've had no problems with any other games, and that my pc hasnt recently had any significant hardware/software changes.

I'd be grateful for any ideas.
