    Default Rome Gold edition won't run

    I've just installed Rome TW Gold Edition and when I try to run the game the Sega intr screen come up then boots me out completely.
    PC is 2.79Gh with 512 Ram
    Graphics card is NVIDIA Ge Force 4 MX440 with AGP8X
    Using on board sound SoundMAX Integrated Gigital Audio. Help!!

    Yes tried re installing with no luck.

    I think you are a little short on RAM I think minimum for normal performance is 1GB.

    try updating windows media player. The game plays a movie after the copyright screen.

    Also try using the -nm (no movie) switch on the shortcut target.

    I don't think so. My old PC was even a bit worse than his one (slower CPU, GeForce 420 MX, 512 RAM) and it could handle Gold edition just fine. It shouldn't be a hardware problem

    Either way, the hardware is pushing it on the performance. Very weak integrated graphics card and low ram.

    Do the stuff the other people have advised, especially that of upgrading your windows media player. Also, see if your drivers can be updated.
